First we take a series of measurements and molds of your mouth. After the lab has constructed the denture to our specifications, you can have your teeth extracted and the denture placed in your mouth at the same appointment. We want your denture to look natural, so if you have any photos that show your smile or profile, bring them with you to your appointment.
If you have had a denture for a while, you may have noticed that the fit changes as the tissues in your mouth change over time. The preferred remedy may be either a new denture or a reline of your existing denture.
A reline can make a difference in how you look, relieve any soreness, and bolster your self-confidence. To reline your denture, we take an impression in the office. You wear your denture with the impression material in it for 24 hours. Then bring it back to the office the next morning. We send the denture to the lab in the morning and you get it back that afternoon. A relined denture will add height to your face resulting in a more youthful appearance, and a tighter fit resulting in a renewed sense of control.
