Long before AIDS, our office was aware that hepatitis B, influenza, tuberculosis, and many other disease producing bacteria are communicable. Our aim is to find the best technology has to offer to keep the practice safe for our patients and our staff.
We use as many disposable items as possible to diminish the chance of cross-contamination. Metal instruments are treated in an ultrasonic cleaning bath before being autoclaved in chemical pressurized heat. Dr. Glenn subscribes to a service that monitors the effectiveness of our sterilizing equipment every week. Staff members are meticulous in the disinfection of furniture, trays, and counters between every patient.
Sure, it's a lot of work. Our patients deserve the highest standards possible in today's dental environment. We wouldn't have it any other way.
