Root Canal Therapy Postcare
You will be more comfortable if you try not to chew on the tooth undergoing root canal therapy. Your tooth may be shortened so that it doesn't hit when you are chewing. After your appointment, take Advil (Motrin or Ibuprofen) before the numbness wears off. You may need Advil for several days. If you develop swelling, or pain that is not controlled by Advil, call our office. Dr. Glenn may prescribe antibiotics for your swelling, and she can prescribe medication to control your discomfort.
