Tooth-Colored Fillings
Gentle Dentistry chooses to use tooth-colored fillings (composite resin) exclusively, as opposed to silver mercury fillings. The preparation (removal of decay and surrounding tooth structure) of the tooth for a composite filling is more conservative than for an amalgam filling. Dr. Glenn believes that leaving more of your own tooth is best.
Composite fillings are much stronger and harder than they were a few years ago. Plus, they look totally natural.
